The solid stainless steel design deters chewing. However even if your dog does attempt to chew the AussiePup Dog Fountain, we offer a money-back guarantee that it will remain in tact and in working condition.
Note for Medium and Small dogs: The water limiter and internal spring may cause issues for medium and small dogs who may find the fountain stiff. The stiffness can be reduced by manually pressing on the pin for several minutes, however the pressure limiter and internal spring can be removed with a large allen key. Provided the angle of the tap is no more than 35 degrees the spring is not required. This will increase flow and improve usability for small and medium size dogs who may have trouble with pressing on the fountain.
Alternatively - small and medium dogs may benefit from the fountain being installed horizontally - allowing them to place their paw on the fountain in order to release water.

The AussiePup Dog Fountain has been specifically designed by us for us. It has been manufactured for the standard Australian garden tap - 3/4" BSP thread - not NPT which is best suited for taps used overseas.
